June 17, 2011
The UC Davis athletics department inducted two former coaches and five former student-athletes into the Cal Aggie Athletics Hall of Fame in ceremonies on June 4. Additionally, the university bestowed the new Aggie Legacy Award -- granted to former student-athletes for post-UC Davis sports-related accomplishments -- to Boise State head football coach Chris Petersen.
Alphabetically, 2011 CAAHOF induction class comprises Jason Cox (men's basketball), Matt DeJong (men's soccer), Kathy DeYoung (women's volleyball, softball, women's golf coach), Ray Goldbar (men's and women's gymnastics coach), Scott Gordon (men's golf), Greg Lee (men's tennis) and Tony Moore (men's track & field).
Listed below are the induction videos presented during the banquet on that Saturday.
All videos are scripted and produced by the UC Davis athletics media relations office. Voiceover and music by Steve Schon of Function 45 Productions. Images come from department archives and the inductees themselves. Special thanks to Joe Nickell of Boise State athletics and UC Davis alum Joe Jaszewski of the Idaho Statesman for providing recent images on behalf of Chris Petersen.
