Intercollegiate Athletics Hosts Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night

DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis and UC Davis Health System faculty and staff have the opportunity to receive two (2) complimentary tickets, courtesy of the Intercollegiate Athletics Department, to watch the Big West Conference home opener for Aggie men's and women's basketball as part of Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night. The women will host Cal State Northridge on Thursday, Jan. 9, while the men open league play against UC Riverside the following week on Jan. 16.

Both games will take place at The Pavilion and start at 7 p.m.

"Faculty and staff are an integral part of the growth and development of this campus," said Terry Tumey, director of athletics. "Athletics is excited to recognize their commitment and contributions to UC Davis. We hope to see everyone on Jan. 9 and Jan. 16. "

Faculty and staff members who are interested in securing their tickets are asked to send an e-mail from their campus address to aggies@ucdavis.edu with the following information:

  • First and Last Name
  • Department Name
  • Campus Address
  • Phone Number
  • Desired Game(s) - Jan. 9 and/or Jan. 16
  • Number of Tickets (1 or 2 per game)

Beginning Jan. 6, faculty and staff can pick-up their requested allotment of tickets anytime Monday-Friday from 12-5 p.m. at the Athletic Ticket Office located at Aggie Stadium.

All ticket requests must be received by 12 p.m. (PT) on the day of each respective game and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are valid for seating in any general admission section; additional tickets area available for purchase here for the women's game, and here for the men.

In addition to offering a six-game plan, fans interested in witnessing UC Davis men's and women's basketball firsthand at The Pavilion this season can purchase season tickets online at ucdavisaggies.com, by contacting Melissa Tinsley directly at (530) 752-1047 or by e-mail at mtinsley@ucdavis.edu.
