Mike Bazemore is the Associate Athletics Director, Business Operations at UC Davis, joining the Aggies' staff on July 20, 2009.
Bazemore fills position on the Aggies' senior management team created with the 2009 retirement of Senior Associate Athletics Director Bob Bullis. Bazemore oversees the Intercollegiate Athletics' (ICA) operating budget while providing leadership and financial management expertise to head coaches and department unit directors. He also supervises several sports and works with various campus entities on budget and facility matters.
Bazemore came to UC Davis from the University of Nevada where he was a member of the Wolf Pack's administrative budget staff since 2006. Prior to Nevada, he was the Assistant Athletics Director for Business and Finance at the University of Central Florida from 2001-06. He was also the Assistant Athletics Director of Administration and Finance - and then later Associate Athletics Director - at Jacksonville University during a tenure that ran from 1993-2001.
He oversaw an athletics budget at UCF that expanded from $11 million to $20 million while he was there and also supervised the sports of men's soccer, women's soccer and baseball among other administrative duties. Bazemore fulfilled similar duties at Jacksonville while also serving as co-director at conference tournaments for men's basketball, women's basketball and baseball.
Bazemore earned his bachelor's of fine arts degree in radio and television, with a business minor, from Sam Houston State University in 1982. He received his master's in sport administration from St. Thomas University in Florida in 1992.
