DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis football will enter Saturday's 11 a.m. PT Big Sky showdown at Northern Colorado with the best Division I ranking in program history after both national polls were released on Monday. In the STATS FCS Top 25 Poll, the Aggies climbed three spots to No. 16.
This is the Aggies' fourth straight week in STATS' national poll.
The 2006 season marked the last time the Aggies held a ranking this high; UC Davis was ranked No. 16 when it entered that season's Battle for the Golden Horseshoe at No. 5 Cal Poly.
Football also climbed one spot in this week's AFCA Coaches' Poll, and enter its road game in Greeley, Colo., ranked No. 21.
With a 3-1 record — the team's best start since the 2004 season — UC Davis will look to collect its sixth victory vs. the Bears in the last seven played when the team heads to Nottingham Field on Saturday. In addition to a video stream of this game on
WatchBigSky.com and Pluto TV (channel 241), fans can listen to Scott Marsh and Doug Kelly's call on Sports 1140 KHTK and online through TuneIn at
