SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Junior Kyle Clancy finished with the highest Aggie mark after his performance in the men's high jump, while senior T.K. Dodds received the highest UC Davis mark in the men's triple jump, highlighting the final day of action at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship West Preliminaries, which took place at the Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, California.

Clancy, who was the second jumper in Flight 1, finished in 15th and 29th overall out of the 48 total contingents with a 2.06m/6-9.00 high jump. Texas Tech's Trey Culver sealed the top qualifying spot to the NCAA Finals with a best jump of 2.16m/7-1.00.

Later on with the men's triple jump, Dodds led the Aggie team of three with a leap of 14.53m/48-7.00, good for an eighth place finish in Flight 1, and 40th overall. Junior Steven Childs was UC Davis's runner-up after receiving a 14.46m/47-5.25 distance, and placing directly after Dodds in ninth. Lastly, junior Drew Xandrine-Anderson rounded out his rally at the regional meet with a 13.42m/44-0.50 triple jump, which was good for an 11th-place finish in Flight 3. Out of the 48 participating student-athletes, Childs and Xandrine-Anderson finished in 42nd and 45th, resepctively.

Saturday's action concludes yet another successful overall Aggie visit to the West Preliminary meet. Next up, the UC Davis track and field team will take qualifiers Erinn Beattie (women's high jump) and Marc Toney (men's pole vault) to Eugene, Oregon, for the the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Final Championships, taking place at Oregon's Hayward Field on June 6-9.
