San Luis Obispo, Calif. - UC Davis got another multi-hit game from
Nick Leehey but were held off the scoreboard for a second day in San Luis Obispo, falling 7-0 to Cal Poly on Saturday afternoon.
Leehey raised his hitting streak to six games, going 2-4 while
James Williams III,
Mark Wolbert and
Raul Sandoval had a hit each.
The Aggies got their first baserunners in the fifth inning on no-out singles by Leehey and Sandoval. They put two on again in the seventh on singles by Wolbert and Leehey back-to-back. Williams III kept the Aggies alive in the ninth with a two-out, two-strike double off the left field wall that just missed clearing it for a home run but the Mustangs were able to complete the shutout.
Sunday's 1 p.m. first pitch marks the final road game of the season for the Aggies before returning home to host Long Beach State May 26-28.
