Senior attacker Elizabeth Datino closed out a historic career last Thursday, leading her team to an upset victory over 14th-ranked conference rival Stanford. Datino had 5 goals and an assist including the game winner with 2.5 seconds left in overtime. Following the game Datino was named MPSF Offensive Player of the week, her second of the season, then was named First Team All-Conference for the second straight year. The senior had a team leading 46 goals to go with 20 assists for a team-high 66 points. The win over Stanford was the program's first in 13 years.
Senior infielder Paul Politi is now 3rd all-time at UC Davis in career hits after Tuesday's victory over Santa Clara. Politi has 215 hits now with 14 games left on the schedule. The third-baseman entered Tuesday's game tied with current Assistant Coach Tony Schifano. Politi is now 2nd all time with 716 career at bats and is 7th all time with 42 doubles. Politi leads the team this season with 173 at bats, 34 runs, 11 doubles, and 5 home runs. Politi and the Aggies have home games against Cal State Northridge on May 3-5.
