Meet The Team

Alexis

Captain
Major:
Undeclared Humanities
Class of 2018
Hometown: Irvine, Calif.

Alexis began cheerleading her freshman year of high school, and quickly earned a spot on the varsity cheer team during her sophomore, junior, and senior years. Her favorite part of cheerleading is stunting, no matter which position she is in. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, watching movies, shopping, eating, and traveling. Her favorite things about Davis are the friendly people and great places to eat downtown. She looks forward to a great season, bonding with her teammates and cheering at all the exciting home athletic events.

Anna

Major: Biological Sciences
Class of 2019
Hometown: Davis, Calif.

Anna started gymnastics at the age of six, and began cheerleading during her freshman year of high school. She competed at Nationals with her team four times and now serves as a cheerleading instructor with Universal Cheerleaders Association. Even though this is her first year on the cheer team, she looks forward to expanding the program in the future.

Christina

Major: Animal Science
Class of 2018
Hometown: Sacramento, Calif.

Christina was born and raised in Sacramento, California. She cheered for Foothill High school for four years and was captain her senior year. She took a year off and decided to try out for the UCD cheer team her second year. Her favorite part was learning how to partner stunt because how cool is it to stand on someone's hand? Christina is looking forward to her next years at Davis and is planning on attending the UC Davis Veterinary School in the future. For now she enjoys spending her free time reading, hanging out with friends and family, and petting as many animals as she can.

Megan

Major: Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Class of 2018
Hometown: Vacaville, Calif.

After learning a back handspring on her bed, Megan's parents enrolled her in competitive gymnastics at the age of eight where she continued to thrive. She reached one of the highest levels in the sport before an injury forced her into early retirement. This is her first year on the UC Davis cheer team, and she is excited to apply the skills she learned in gymnastics in with her teammates. When she's not flying in the air or flipping on the floor, she enjoys going on adventures. Whether that involves backpacking, skiing, traveling, watching Netflix, eating Oreos or hanging with her Alpha Chi Omega sorority sisters, she is always looking for something new and exciting to do!

Sierra

Major: Biochemistry
Class of 2019
Hometown: Oakley, Calif.

This is my third year cheering. Outside of school and cheer I like to spend my free time watching a lot of Netflix and running at the Arboretum. My favorite part of being in Davis is living so close to the cows and petting them on my way to class in the morning.
