Peter

Major: Mathematics
Class of 2016
Hometown: Riverside, CA
Bio:
This is my first year cheerleading. I am a transfer student who transferred to Davis last year. After watching a teammate execute a back tuck in the middle of the MU Quad, I became interested and came to the open gyms and tryout clinics, leading to successfully trying out and becoming a new addition to the team. Cheerleading is an incredible learning experience with my amazing teammates. Outside of cheerleading, my hobbies include pranking friends, swimming, playing racquetball and basketball at the ARC, and eating Korean BBQ. Since
coming to UC Davis, I have come to love the biking culture and the peaceful Arboretum.

Jonathan

Major: Physics
Class of 2016
Hometown: San Jose, CA
Bio:
I have played several sports throughout the years and cheer is by far the most rewarding. The feeling that you get when you hit a new skill for the first time is beyond satisfaction, it's simply exhilarating. The thrill of personal achievement along with the challenge of maintaining a cohesive team makes cheerleading a uniquely satisfying sport.

When I am not sacrificing my able body to the cheer gods, there is a high probability you will find me doing one of the following things: eating chicken from Tupperware containers, grunting while lifting weights, practicing latte art at Peet's Coffee, pompously enjoying fancy craft beers, dripping salty tears onto my uncompleted physics homework, or just generally being a blunt sarcastic know-it-all.

Katie

Major: Cell Biology

Jade loves cheering on the Aggies, especially at volleyball games. Her favorite things about Davis are the cows, the RMI buildings (there are really cool gadgets, people, and clubs in there!), and the small college town atmosphere. She reached one of the highest levels in the sport before an injury forced her into early retirement. This is her first year on the UC Davis cheer team and first year doing the sport of cheer in general. She’s always excited to contribute the things she learned in gymnastics and apply them to her new world of cheer. When she’s not flying in the air or flipping on the floor, she enjoys going on adventures. Whether that is backpacking, skiing, traveling, watching Netflix, eating Oreos or hanging with her Alpha Chi Omega sorority sisters, she is always looking for something new and exciting to do!
