OXFORD ACADEMY HS’17: Did the shot put and discus events in track and field all four years, and also added volleyball into the mix during her junior year… Broke both the shot put and discus school record as a freshman, and went on to break her own records with each consecutive season… Was first team all-league her last three seasons… Got first place at the SS-Division V Championships her sophomore and junior year… Set shot put and discus personal bests of 36’11” and 129’9”, respectively, both earned her first place finishes at competitions that took place in the 2016 outdoor season… Was also a three-year member of the Pacific Coast Shockwaves Club Team in Compton, Calif., and received a USATF Region 15 Athlete of the Year 17-18 Young Women Division award in 2017.

PERSONAL: Born in Anaheim Hills, Calif… Double majoring in Biological Sciences and African American Studies, and wants to pursue a career in surgery… Parents are LaMonica and Michael, both UC Berkeley track and field Alumni… has a younger brother Armando (17) and a younger sister Maya (14)… Her proudest personal accomplishment is winning her first CIF title and banner during her sophomore year at Oxford Academy… Says if she could play another sport at UC Davis, it would be volleyball… Her favorite hobbies are singing, dancing, and watching TV shows… The reason she chose UC Davis Athletics was because she wanted to continue her track and field career.
