Intercollegiate Athletics bestows top academic and athletic awards at second-annual event
UC Davis ranked fifth in the conference with 11 honorees, ahead of San Diego (10) and BYU (7).
UC Davis jumped from fifth place to third place during the final day of competition at the 2018 MPSF championships.
Three Aggies advanced to championship finals while thirteen more earned second swims and dives during the third day of competition at the MPSF championships in Southern California.
After day two at the MPSF championships in Southern California, UC Davis currently stands in fifth place as a team, just seven points behind BYU.
2016-17: MOUNTAIN PACIFIC SPORTS FEDERATION ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM... Swam a career-best 23.83 in the finals of the 50 free at the conference meet to finish 14th... Also swam a career-best 52.55 in a 100 free exhibition at the conference meet... Swam a career-best 56.46 in the prelims of the 100 fly at the Phill Hansel Invitational... Helped the Aggies' 200 free relay squad to a season-best time of 1:32.80 and a fourth-place finish at the MPSF meet.
2015-16: ALL-MOUNTAIN PACIFIC SPORTS FEDERATION SECOND TEAM in the 200 medley relay… MOUNTAIN PACIFIC SPORTS FEDERATION ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM… Swam the eighth-fastest time in program history in the 100 back on Nov. 20 at the Phill Hansel Invitational, touching in a time of 56.60 to shave nearly two seconds off her previous collegiate best... Swam a collegiate best time of 23.98 in the 50 free at the Phill Hansel Invitational on Nov. 19... Also swam legs of the Aggies' 200 and 400 free relays, as well as the 200 and 400 medley relays.
2014-15: Posted her best finish at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships in the 200 back, touching in a time of 2:05.61 to finish 14th... Also finished 18th in the 100 fly (56.49) and 21st in the 100 back (58.01)... Other season-best times include: 50 free (24.44), 200 fly (2:07.47), and 100 breast (1:09.92), at the Texas Hall of Fame Invitational, as well as the 100 free (54.62) in a dual against Pacific on Jan. 31... Also swam various legs in the Aggies' 200 and 400 free relays, as well as the 200 and 400 medley relays.
MARIN CATHOLIC HS '14: Four-year letter winner for the Wildcats... Earned All-America honors in the 200 free relay as a freshman and in the 200 and 400 free relay as a sophomore... Set the school record in the 100 Fly as a senior... Helped the Wildcats to the Marin County Athletic League title as a senior in 2014, claiming individual conference titles in the 100 fly (league-record 56.02) and 100 back (55.52)... Won the league title in the 100 back as a sophomore (58.12).
PERSONAL: Born in Greenbrae, Calif... Parents are Peter and Gigi... Four-year member of the National Honors Society... Lists helping her high school team to its first league title in 42 years as her career highlight... If she could change one thing about her sport, it would be to add more relays... Swam for the Marin Pirates club team, swimming a leg of the winning 400 medley relay team at the 2013 Speedo Summer Sectionals... Competed at the NCSA Junior Nationals in 2013 and 2014, as well as the Speedo Junior Nationals in 2013.
