2011-12: Notched season bests in all three distance freestyle events at Juanita Allington Memorial meet... Went 5:02.43 in 500, 10:17.83 in 1,000, 17:15.87 in 1,650... Made school's top lists in both 1,000 (6th) and 1,650 (7th)... Time in 1,000 marked a 14-second improvement from her previous best of 10:29.70, set in UCSB dual.

LOS ALAMITOS HS '11: Qualified for Southern Section meet in 200 free, 500 free and 200 free relay as a senior, earning team's Swimmer of the Year award... Reached finals of 200 free relay and 200 medley relay at CIF-SS Masters meet, swimming anchor leg for latter...Selected to 2011 Long Beach Telegram Dream Team... Part of school records in 200 and 400 free relay... Member of Seal Beach Swim Club for 14 years, competing at Jr. Olympics, Sectionals, Grand Prix and state championship meets.

PERSONAL: Born in Long Beach, Calif.... Majoring in managerial economics... Parents are Bruce & Debra Carey... If she won $1 million, she would buy part of a castle in Laguna... Along those lines, claims aspirations of "becoming a princess" by the time she's 30.
