LOS ANGELES - Led by freshman Audrey DeNeffe, five Aggie divers competed on the platform in the third, and final day of competition at the Bruin Diving Invitational at the Spieker Aquatics Center in Los Angeles.
DeNeffe finished No. 17 with a score of 179.85, the third-highest platform score recorded by a UC Davis diver this season to finish four spots ahead of freshman Lucy Lafranchise who obliterated her previous season-best score by more than 30 points to finish No. 21 (176.60).
Lafranchise's previous high of 144.65 was originally set last November at the USC Diving Invite.
Stewart fell just .80 of a point shy of tying her season-high platform mark earned at the Mizzou Invite last December.
In addition to Tears, junior Lauren Jesse took her inaugural platform dives of the season at the Spieker Aquatics Center and finished No. 34 with her mark of 142.20.
UC Davis' swimmers and divers will compete in their final home meet of the season on Saturday, Jan. 19, vs. CSU Bakersfield, starting at 1 p.m. at the Schaal Aquatics Center.
