Truong wraps up day two at Zones on 3-meter

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — UC Davis freshman Katie Truong wrapped up the second day of competition at the 2018 NCAA Zone “E”Diving Championships with a 49th-place finish on the 3-meter board at the Wall Aquatic Center on the campus of Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz.

Truong finished with a score of 218.35 to place 49th overall in the preliminary round of the three-meter program.

Nevada’s Sharae Zheng, who placed first in the prelims with a score of 372.35, went on to claim the individual title in the finals, posting a score of 390.00 for a total of 762.35 points on the day. Zheng also secured the championship title in the one-meter program during the first day of competition with a score of 647.35.

The third and final day of competition is set to get underway Wednesday morning (Mar. 7) at 10 a.m., with the prelims of the platform. The finals will begin later in the day at 12:35 p.m.
