DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis junior Kayleigh Foley was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Female Swimmer of the week after leading the Aggies to back-to-back dual meet victories over Pacific and Nevada on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Over the course of the weekend, Foley won five individual events and anchored the winning 400 freestyle relay Friday against the Tigers.

Against Pacific, Foley won the 100 freestyle in a time of 51.96 and the 100 butterfly in a time of 58.38 while also claiming the 100 backstroke (1:00.35) in her season debut in that event. Foley clocked in with a split time of 53.03 as the last leg of the 400 free relay to send UC Davis to victory.

On Saturday at Nevada, Foley's wins in the 100 freestyle (51.67) and the 50 freestyle (24.11) led UC Davis to its first win over the Wolf Pack at Lombardi Pool in its Division I era.

The honor is the first of the year for Foley.

The Aggies return to action Jan. 22, hosting Cal State Bakersfield in the final home dual meet of the season. The meet is set to start at 1 p.m. at Schaal Aquatics Center.
