DAVIS, Calif. -- Coming off its third Mountain Pacific Sports Federation title in the last four years, honors continued to roll in for the UC Davis women's swimming and diving team, as the Aggies combined to earn a total of 32 all-conference honors as announced by the league on Monday morning.

In addition to Hilvy Cheung's Freshman of the Year award, 12 first team and 20 second team spots were claimed by some of UC Davis' best. Eight different Aggies earned individual first-team recognition, including two each by Liliana Alvarez (100 & 200 breast), Cheung (100 & 200 fly), Haley Porter (50 & 100 free), and Katie Edwards (200 IM, 200 free).

Alvarez doubled in both breaststroke distances at the MPSF Championships for the second time in her career, and won the 100 breaststroke for the fourth-consecutive season -- the first athlete in MPSF history to win the same event at the conference championships in the history of the league.

Other first-team honorees included Lexy Troup in the 200 free, Samantha Shellem in the 200 free, Marissa Brown in the 1,650 free, and diver Audrey DeNeffe on the platform.

Porter added a trio of second-team honors in relays to haul in a team-best total of six all-conference awards, while Kirsten Brand (500 free, 200 free, 1,650 free, 800 free relay), Edwards (200 IM, 200 free, 100 free, 800 free relay), Cheung (100 fly, 200 fly, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay), Alvarez (100 breast, 200 breast, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay), and Shellem (200 free, 500 free, 200 back, 800 free relay), all brought home four apiece.

Kirsten Brand led the way for the Aggies with a trio of individual second-team honors in the 500 free, 200 free, and the 1,650 free, while Maya Sprinsock added a pair in the 100 and 200 breaststroke.
