THE WEEK THAT WAS: The Aggies won 10 of 16 events and held off a late Nevada rally to remain unbeaten in dual meet competition this season, edging the Wolf Pack, 151-149, on Nov. 9 in Reno. The win was the fourth-straight over Nevada while handing the Wolf Pack, which had lost only four races in 32 events entering the weekend, their first dual meet loss of the year. Sophomore Marissa Brown, junior Hilary Hunt, freshman Hilvy Cheung, and senior Haley Porter, combined for eight of the Aggies' 10 victories on the day, including Hunt's season-best in the 100 back (56.75) and Porter's time of 24.24 in the 50 free -- just .05 off her team-best time of the season in the event. UC Davis won the first four races of the day and opened a 26-point lead heading into the final six events, but Nevada began to chip away, sweeping the top three spots on the 3-meter and winning the 400 IM, leaving the 800 free relay as the deciding race. The Wolf Pack, needing a 1-2 finish, got the first half of the equation with a win in a time of 7:36.98, but the Aggies' quartet of Porter, Katie Edwards, Kirsten Brand, and Samantha Shellem, finished second by more than 12 seconds over the Nevada's "B" squad to clinch the meet win.

MIZZOU MEMORIES: The 2013 season will mark the third-consecutive year that the Aggies will head to Columbia for the Mizzou Invite after UC Davis finished sixth in 2011 and third at the 2012 event. Last season, Samantha Shellem (500 free), Marissa Brown (1,650 free), and Hilary Hunt (200 back) each set school records in Columbia while Shellem (200 free) and Liliana Alvarez (100 breast) met NCAA "B" standards on day two.

BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK IN THE BACK: Junior Hilary Hunt is unbeaten in both the 100 and 200 backstroke in the Aggies four dual meets this season (including a season-low 56.75 in the 100 in Reno back on Nov. 9), winning every race heading into this weekend's Mizzou Invitational. She is the only UC Davis swimmer to have doubled in all three of UC Davis' fall dates thus far while senior Liliana Alvarez and freshman Hilvy Cheung have accomplished the feat twice. Other Aggies to have doubled this season include junior Samantha Shellem, sophomore Marissa Brown, senior Haley Porter, and sophomore diver Hanna Tears.

SHE'S SO FLY: Freshman Hilvy Cheung swam the second-fastest time in 100 fly by an Aggie this season in Reno with her winning time of 56.27 -- just .04 back of her season-best time set at the Pacific Invitational on Oct. 19. Cheung owns the top four times in both the 100 and 200 fly this season.

THE BEST… AROUND…: Senior Liliana Alvarez has posted the best 100 breaststroke time in the MPSF thus far this season, recording a 1:03.71 at San Jose State on Oct. 26 to edge UC Santa Barbara's Carissa Metcalf by .04 seconds for the top spot. Other Aggies in the MPSF top five:
