2014: Had season-best mark of 16.40m (53-9.75) while taking third in the shot put at the Causeway Classic Dual... Mark also pushed him to No. 9 on program's all-time list... Had big mark of 57.68 (189-3) in hammer at Big West Championships, finishing third and moving to No. 7 on Aggies' all-time list... Went 44.76m (146-10) at Causeway for career-best effort in discus... Finished eighth in shot at conference championships and was third at Stanford Invitational... Took second in hammer at Causeway Classic.

2013: Competed in shot put and hammer throw, posting season-best mark of 16.30 (53-5.75) in the shot put at the Causeway Classic Dual Meet... Had mark of 49.23m (161-6) in hammer at early season Aggie Open for best performance in that event... Took second in shot put at Hornet Invitational and was third at ASU Sun Angel Classic... Competed in 10 events including the Big West Championship.

2012: Finished 9th at Big West Conference Championships in shot with season-best 15.66m (51-4.5)... Broke 50-foot barrier on four occasions, starting with 50-6 at Hornet Invite... Also competed in discus (42.72m, 140-2) and hammer (39.22m, 138-0) three times each.

JUNIPERO SERRA HS '11: Three-time West Catholic Athletic League champion in shot put... Placed 4th at 2011 Central Coast Section with 12-pound implement after finishing 7th with 10-pounder as a junior... Twice selected as team's Most Valuable Field Athlete, then capped career as team MVP as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born in Pacifica, Calif.... Majoring in viticulture & enology, having chosen UC Davis for its reputation in that field... Parents are Ben & Laurie Parodi... Ben, Sr. played football at San Francisco State... Proudest personal accomplishment was winning Serra High's Shea Award as the outstanding senior male athlete.
