2009: Finished 6th in javelin at Big West Conference Championships for second straight year, posting mark of 39.41m (129-3)... Broke 40-meter barrier with career-best 40.29m (132-2) at Woody Wilson Classic after narrowly missing the plateau (39.95m, 131-1) at the Cal-Nevada state meet two weeks prior.

2008: Placed 6th in javelin (36.25m, 118-11) at Big West Conference meet... Best throw was 38.29m (125-7) in Aggie Twilight meet... Posted meet wins at All-Cal Challenge and UC Santa Barbara dual... Also competed in high jump twice, clearing season-best 1.50m (4-11.5) during Woody Wilson Classic.

2007: Aggies' only heptathlete, finishing 3rd at Div. I Independent Championships with season-high 3,979 points (no event info available)... Previous best was 3,795, set at Chico Multi meet... Also scored team points at independent meet in 100 hurdles (8th), long jump (4th) and javelin (4th)... Posted season-best leap of 5.27m (17-3.5) in long jump at championship meet.

SIR FRANCIS DRAKE HS '06: North Coast Section runner-up in long jump (18-1.75) as a senior, earning trip to state meet... Also placed 8th at NCS meet in 100 hurdles (15.77)... Advanced to Meet of Champions after claiming Redwood Empire titles in long and triple jumps... Won Marin County Athletic League championships in long jump (twice), triple jump (twice), high jump (three times) and 100 hurdles (once); swept all four medals as a senior... Marin Athletic Foundation Scholar-Athlete... Accomplished as a clarinet and tenor sax player, earning a Bank of America Achievement Award in music.

PERSONAL: Born in Vallejo, Calif.... Majoring in exercise biology... Parents are David & Roberta Bickel... Career highlights were making state finals in the long jump and winning four MCAL gold medals... Career plans are to become a physical therapist or a perfusionist.
