2006: Was team's lone vaulter, placing 5th at D-I Independent Championships at 2.90m (9-6.25)... Best mark was 3.11 (10-2.5), set during Bulldog Dual... Competed in seven meets in javelin, including 4th (32.41, 106-4) at D-I Independents... Season-best javelin was 33.35 (109-5) in Causeway Dual.

2005: Captured 2nd in pole vault at Div. I Independent Championships, clearing season-best 3.13 (10-3.25)... Previous best of 3.05 (10-0), done twice, both at Sac State.

BURLINGTON-EDISON HS '04: Competed in both pole vault and javelin, recording PRs of 11-3 and 109 feet, respectively... Vault mark set school record and lifted her to third-place finish at state meet in 2004... Won state championship as a sophomore with a 10-9 leap... Also took 5th at states as a junior... Captured country championship all four years, setting county vault record at 11-0.

PERSONAL: Born in Pensacola, Fla.... Majoring in exercise biology... Parents are Tom & Suzanne Doughty, whom she lists as non-sports heroes... Name is pronounced "DOW-dee" (rhymes with "rowdy)... One of only two out-of-state members of 2007 team (along with thrower Kirsten Phillips).
