2009: Hit season bests in 5,000 (14:54.38) and 10,000 (31:23.92) at Big West Conference Championships, placing 22nd and 9th, respectively... Also competed in 3,000 twice, posting 3:40.0 hand time in Causeway Dual... Earned Big West Academic All-Conference and CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII honors.

2008: Redshirted.

CROSS COUNTRY: Ran at Big West Conference and NCAA West Region championships in each of his junior and senior years... Finished 34th at conference in 2008, then 26th in 2009... Also garnered Academic All-Big West accolades both years... Regional places were 101st and 90th in final two seasons... Placed 9th at Hornet Jamboree as a senior... Competed in three meets in 2007 and four in 2006... Finished 18th overall in Aggie Open as a freshman.

PALO ALTO HS '06: Finished 19th (16:15) among Div. II runners at state cross country championships as a senior... Advanced to states after finishing 2nd (15:39) at Central Coast Section meet... Voted team MVP that year, sweeping Palo Alto and Santa Clara Valley Athletic League titles...Placed 16th at CCS meet as a junior... Also named Most Valuable Runner in track & field... Captured 8th at CCS in 3,200 (9:39.89) as a senior... Served as team captain in both sports.

PERSONAL: Born in Stanford, Calif.... Majoring in chemical engineering... Parents are David and Kathleen Himmelberger... Older brother, Daniel, graduated from UC Davis in 2000... Career highlight was finishing 2nd at CCS Div. II cross country meet in 2005.
