Aggies will be split up between the Hornet Invite and the Trojan Invite this weekend
JAMES LOGAN HS’17: Did track and field all four years as a pole vaulter… Received the Outstanding Field Performance during his junior year and senior year… Got a spot at number six place on his school’s top ten list for pole vaulting his junior year… Broke the school second with a 16’2” jump during the 2017 season, where the previous record was 15’3”, which was set back in 2006… During his senior year, he also got first place at the CIF North Coast Section Meet of Champions… Outside of high school, he was a member of the Mission Valley Track and Field Club for four years, and in one of the years, he placed in third at the USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships.
PERSONAL: Born in Palo Alto, Calif… Has not declared a major yet, but is interested in finding a study under the life sciences… Parents are Jeuel and Angel… Has an older brother Brenden (23)… Something most people may not know about him is that he did gymnastics for 10 years… Says his proudest personal accomplishment is breaking the school record with a 16’2” jump… Wants to pursue a career in the medical field… The reason why he chose UC Davis was for the academics, the area around the university, and it is close to home.
