2010: Finished 3rd in 1,500 (3:51.17), 4th in 5,000 (14:45.55) at Big West Conference Championships... Qualified for NCAA Regional in 5,000 (22nd) by virtue of school-record 14:03.25 at Payton Jordan Invite... Surpassed Mark McManus' previous benchmark by better than 10 full seconds... First broke the 5K record with 2nd-place 14:09.23 at Stanford Invitational, an 11-second improvement of his previous best from the 2008 season... Ran 4:03.89 mile at Brutus Hamilton, which converts to 3:45.82 in 1,500, earning Big West Conference Athlete of the Week accolades and moving him into 2nd in school history... Fastest true 1,500 was 3:48.26 at Sun Angel Classic... Opened season with 3K of 8:16.50, improving his No. 2 standing in program annals... Ran in one indoor meet, posting 8:11.52 3K time at UW Invitational... Earned Colby E. "Babe" Slater Award as school's outstanding male athlete of the year.

2009: Posted Aggies' best 5,000 finish at Big West Conference Championships, placing 9th with 14:40.07... Also took 7th in 1,500 (3:50.52) at conference meet... Hit season-best 5K of 14:38.92 at Brutus Hamilton Invite... Won Woody Wilson Classic 5K (14:50.78)... Also team's distance leader indoors, breaking school 3K record with 8:16.99 at Washington Invite, then surpassing his own mark at Husky Invite (8:13.90).

2008: Won 3,000 in Causeway Dual with 8:20.80, 2nd in school history and the program's fastest true 3K... Only Ed Haver's 1971 mark of 8:15.84, a converted two-mile time, ranks higher... Paired that with team season-best 1,500 of 3:50.37 in Causeway meet, good for double win... Placed 3rd in 5,000 (15:01.24) at Big West Conference meet... Best mark was 14:20.70 at Payton Jordan Invite, moving him into 5th in school history.

CROSS COUNTRY: Aggies' top finisher in all five meets raced in 2011, including Big West Conference (5th) and NCAA West Regional (10th)... Lone UC Davis competitor at NCAA Championships for second straight year... Also posted meet win at Aggie Open and placed 3rd at Stanford... Finished 14 at 2010 NCAA Championships to earn program's first Div. I-era All-America award... Garnered All-West Region (5th) and Big West Conference Athlete of the Year distinction... Won three meets in 2010: Hornet Jamboree, Bronco Invitational and Big West Championship... Earned All-Big West Conference (7th) in 2009... Made season debut with meet win at Hornet Jamboree, then finished 9th at Stanford Invite two weeks later... Also team's top scorer at Pre-Nationals (68th overall) and NCAA West Regional (17th)... Redshirted 2008 season... Raced in four meets as a freshman in 2007, including Big West Conference (23rd) and NCAA West Region (43rd) championships... Aggies' top finisher at regional and Santa Clara Invitational (15th).

CLOVIS HS '07: Placed 6th (15:27) at state cross country championships as a senior, earning all-state honors... Also made state meet as a junior, finishing 28th overall (16:27)... Earned All-Tri-River Athletic Conference three times, All-Central Section twice in cross country... Captured 1,600 title (4:15.92) at Central Section masters meet in 2007... Placed 3rd in 1,600, 5th in 3,200 at section championships as a junior... Two-year state meet qualifier in track.

PERSONAL: Born in Colorado... Majoring in human development... Parents are Mark & Sally Peterson... Hopes to one day break the four-minute barrier in the mile... Younger brother, Mike, is a pole vaulter at UC Davis... Serves as officer for UC Davis Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
