2009: Big West Conference champion in steeplechase (9:00.59)... Became third Aggie in school history to break 9-minute mark, posting 8:48.81 time at Brutus Hamilton and narrowly missing Ed Haver's 1971 school record of 8:48.54... Also won steeple at Woody Wilson Classic (9:11.29)... Qualified for NCAA West Regional, placing 19th (9:16.50)... Ran 1,500 in three meets, posting season-best 3:48.08 at Mt. SAC Relays to move into 3rd in school history... Placed 6th at conference meet (3:52.22), leading all Aggies with 13.0 team points... Hit 8:22.18 in indoor 3,000 at Husky Invite, 2nd all-time behind Jonathan Peterson's 8:13.90 - set at the same meet.
2008: Won 1,500 in UC Santa Barbara dual with season-best 3:55.31... Also competed at Cal-Nevada state meet in that event, going 3:58.68 in finals... Made one steeplechase appearance, posting 9:37.23 at All-Cal Challenge.
CROSS COUNTRY: Placed 2nd at Hornet Jamboree then led Aggies with 8th-place finish at Stanford in 2009... Team's No. 3 finisher at Big West Conference (19th) and NCAA West Regional (69th)... Barely missed all-conference honors at 2008 conference meet, placing 12th overall... Aggies' No. 2 runner both at Big West and at NCAA West Regional (49th overall) championships... Raced in four meets in 2007, including Big West (31st) and West Regional (68th)... Redshirted in 2006.
CLOVIS EAST HS '06: Won five cross country meets as a senior, capped by Central Section title at Woodward Park... Posted winning time of 15:46, six seconds faster than runner-up Andrew Campbell of rival Clovis West... Also won esteemed Iolani (Hawaii) Invitational in 2005, beating former Hawaii state champion Jeremy Kamakaala in the process... Added all-city and team's Runner of the Year honors in both 2004 and 2005... Finished 4th in 3,200 at North Area track championships as a junior... As a senior, placed 5th in 1,600, 13th in 3,200 at section meet... National Honor Society member.
PERSONAL: Born in Clovis, Calif.... Majoring in exercise biology... Parents are Mark & Terri Pfaff... Proudest personal accomplishment was winning the Iolani Invitational and getting interviewed by the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.
