Won Monterey Bay League 800 title (2:25.8) as a junior, then placed 16th at section semis (2:24.44)... Three-time team MVP in track... Selected as cross country team's Outstanding Senior and Outstanding Junior in those respective years... Helped team to four straight MBL championships in both track and cross country.

PERSONAL: Born in Fort Ord, Calif.... Majoring in biological sciences... Parents are Michael and Lidia Santos... Hopes for career in sports medicine... Proudest personal accomplishment was doubling in the 400 and 800 at MBL championships.
