2012: USTFCCCA ALL-AMERICA SECOND TEAM in 10,000... BIG WEST CONFERENCE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE YEAR... Won HUBERT HEITMAN AWARD as UC Davis' outstanding female athlete... Won conference titles in both 5,000 (16:35.07) and 10,000 (34:34.03)... Fastest 10K was 33:19.77 at Stanford, crushing Patti Gray's 29-year-old school record of 33:42.33... Placed 12th at West Prelims (34:24.87), advancing to national meet (15th, 33:49.57)... Broke 17-minute barrier in 5K three times, first with 16:33.91 at Hornet Invite then with season-best 16:26.74 at Mt. SAC... Ranks 3rd in school outdoor history... Posted 3K best of 9:33.40 during Causeway Classic dual, 4th all-time at UC Davis... Selected as school's representative for Big West Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 2012... Big West Conference All-Academic.

2011: Redshirted.

2010: Finished 3rd in 10,000 (35:21.12) at Big West Conference Championships... Advanced to NCAA West Regional (31st, 36:09.09)... Enjoyed all of her best times at Stanford's Cobb Track & Angell Field... Made 10K postseason cut thanks to 34:28.84 at Stanford Invitational, good for 3rd in meet and 3rd all-time at UC Davis... Posted 5,000 time of 16:52.54 at Payton Jordan Invite, moving her into 8th in school history... Also made one 3K appearance, clocking 9:49.10 at Stanford Opener... Earned Big West Conference All-Academic honors.

2009: Placed 4th in 10K (36:35.03) at Big West Conference meet... Also competed in 3,000 (10:12.8 hand time at Causeway Dual) and 5,000 (17:22.59 at Brutus Hamilton Invite).

CROSS COUNTRY: Big West Conference runner-up as a junior, one of five meets as team's top finisher... Other high finshes: 2nd at Aggie Open, 3rd at Hornet Jamboree, 12th (among 32 teams) at Stanford Invite, 25th (37 teams) at ISU Pre-Nationals... Finished year by placing 28th at NCAA West Regional to complete comeback story... Did not compete in 2010... Won Big West Conference individual championship in 2009, subsequently earning Athelte of the Year honors... Aggies' top finisher at NCAA West Regional (22nd overall) and Pre-Nationals (34th), the last of which earned her Big West Athlete of the Week accolades... Redshirted in 2008.

HEALDSBURG HS '08: Won the Division IV state championship at Stanford as a senior with a meet-record time of 17:26... PERSONAL: Born in Healdsburg, Calif.... Majoring in psychology... Parents are Brian & Shawn Sumpter... Would have Renee O'Connor (Gabrielle from Xena: The Warrior Princess) play her in a movie of her life... Among the events in history she would have liked to have winessed: the first woman runner in the Olympic Games.
