2008: Tied (with hurdler Jazz Trice) for Aggies' highest individual finish, placing 2nd in discus (53.61m, 175-11)... Advanced to NCAA West Regional, finishing 14th (53.23m, 174-8)... Posted team's season-best marks on three throwing events... Won discus at UC Santa Barbara Dual at 55.02 (180-6), 3rd in school history... Captured shot put win at Aggie Twilight with throw of 16.05m (52-8), 9th in Aggie annals... Also hit season-best hammer throw of 53.27m (174-9) during that meet... Totalled seven meet wins during the year, five in discus... Team's only thrower indoors, posting shot put best of 14.71m (48-3.25) at Washington Invitational, moving him into 5th on school's indoor list.
2006: Won discus at Div. I Independent Championships, posting throw of 54.01m (177-2)... Also placed 4th in shot put (14.47m, 47-5.75) to total 15 points... Independent title was one of four discus wins, including season-best 54.46 (178-8) at Bulldog Dual... Ranks 3rd in school history... One of two Aggies to qualify for prestigious Modesto Relays (along with Tolu Wusu), placing 9th with 54.12 (177-7) mark... Was 3rd among collegiate athletes in that meet... Enjoyed breakout throw of 53.70 (176-2) at Woody Wilson Classic...Had team's season-best shot put mark, delivering 15.40 (50-6.25) in Causeway Dual.
SAUGUS HS '05: Placed 6th at state meet in discus after 3rd-place throw of 184-8 in prelim rounds... Won Southern Section masters title (186-9) and Div. I title (190-10)... Also placed 5th in shot at CIF-SS meet... Captured Foothill League title in discus and added third-place performance in shot put... Won 2005 SAMMY (Saugus Athletes Modeling Meritorius Youth) Award... Also played basketball and football... Earned back-to-back Defensive Player of the Week honors in football as a freshman... Named MVP of JV basketball team... Highlighted hoop career with 30-point game vs. rival Hart HS... Hit 13 of 15 free throws in that game.
