2006: Joined track team in April after conclusion of stellar basketball career (see below)...Won Div. I Independent javelin title (36.88m, 121-0)... Added 4th-place showing in discus (42.35, 138-11)... Had made her javelin debut just two weeks before, hitting 34.96 (114-8) in Bulldog Dual... Best discus throw was 42.75 (140-3) in Causeway Dual, 9th in school history... Along with basketball accolades, won school's HEITMAN AWARD as outstanding female athlete of the year.

UC DAVIS BASKETBALL (2002-06): Three-year starter, scored career 828 points with 570 rebounds, 344 assists and 201 steals... Earned All-Div. I Independent first-team honors as a senior, honorable mention as a junior... In 2005-06, became first player in school history to lead Aggies in points (345), rebounds (169), assists (85) and steals (45) in the same season.

SANTANA HS '02: Four-year standout in both basketball and track & field... Led hoop team to San Diego Section titles in both 2000 and 2002... Set school record with 553 career assists... Earned Grossmont League MVP honors that year... Won section track & field title in discus throw (133-0) as a senior, beating runner-up by more than 12 feet... Advanced to state meet, where she placed 12th (130-5)... Set school record in that event with mark of 142-4... Also placed 5th at sections in pole vault with school-record 9-0 effort... Also lettered in cross country (two years) and field hockey (one).

PERSONAL: Born in Fairfax, Va.... Human development major... Oldest of six children of Kit Turpin... Lists her mother as her non-sports hero... Career plans are to teach elementary school and coach high school basketball.
