2011: Posted Aggies' top five 800 times for the year, including 2:11.42 at Mondo Mid-Major... Placed 7th at Big West Conference Championship with 2:14.98, 2:13.72 in prelim... Also went 2:13.37 at Stanford Invite... Ran 1,500 at Cal Opener (4:38.59)... Earned Big West Conference All-Academic honors.
2010: Enjoyed breakout season... Placed 2nd in 800 at Big West Conference meet with PR of 2:08.08, 2nd in school history behind Rose Criss (2:07.91 in 2001)... Broke 2:09 mark on two other occasions: first to win Brutus Hamilton Invite (2:08.73), then again at Sac State Open (2:08.61)... Qualified for NCAA West Regional (33rd, 2:10.53)... Member of 2nd-place 4x400 squad at conference (3:42.58), good for 3rd in UC Davis history... Ran at both indoor meets, going 2:17.08 at UW Invite... Big West All-Academic honoree.
2009: Competed primarily in 400, posting season-best 58.48 in Big West Conference prelim heat (15th overall)... Hit 100 (13.06) and 200 (26.54) bests at Cal Outdoor Opener.
CROSS COUNTRY: Joined team in 2011, competing in four meets including Big West Conference Championships (44th)... Aggies' No. 2 finisher at Bronco Invite (65th overall).
UKIAH HS '08: Won 200 title (25.93) and finished 4th in 100 (12.95) at Redwood Empire area meet, qualifying for North Coast Section championships in each... Captured titles in both events at North Bay League meet... Finished 2nd in 400 (1:00.69) at Redwood Empire championship as a junior.
PERSONAL: Born in Ukiah, Calif.... Majoring in international relations... Parents are Scott Wallace and Lisa Cortina... Career plans are to teach high school French and Arabic... Appropriately, hopes to one day visit Africa and the Middle East.
