DAVIS, Calif. - Information for the 2012 Aggie Open, scheduled for Mar. 10, is now available through www.ucdavisaggies.com. The meet will be held at Woody Wilson Track at UC Davis and complete information regarding registration, a tentative schedule, maps, etc., can be obtained by downloading the Aggie Open Meet Packet.

FACILITIES
The Aggie Open will be held on the Woody Wilson track. We have the ability to run the sprints and hurdles in either direction. Shot, Discus, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault, and Javelin are all located within the track. The Hammer Ring is located directly south of the Schaal Aquatics Facility. (see enclosed map)

ENTRIES
The entry process will take place online at directathletics.com. In order to enter athletes into the meet, collegiate/club teams will need to access their account (or create one) at www.directathletics.com. Follow the directions online. The deadline to make additions or changes to your entry list is 11:59 p.m. on Mon. March 5, 2012. 

Be sure to print a copy of your entries when you are finished. Please enter verifiable marks for seeding races and flights. Please note that entry to the meet is not guaranteed. An accepted entry list will be posted on www.ucdavisaggies.com by Wed., March 7. Heats will follow later that day or on Thursday, March 8.

Unattached/Individual/Open athletes will also enter through www.directathletics.com by establishing an individual account. Please note Club/Open relays will need to be entered using a team account. Be sure to request your Direct Athletics account early. 

Direct Athletics provides support on its website for entry procedures.

RULES
This meet will be conducted according to NCAA rules and regulations. No false starts will be allowed. Running events will be conducted as section finals. Field events (except PV and HJ) will consist of preliminaries with 3 attempts and with the top 8 advancing to a final round. Minimum marks for throwing events will be established. Each competitor’s first throw will be measured along with each throw beating the minimum mark thereafter. 

WEIGH-INS
All implements must be weighed in between 8:00 – 1:00 pm in the shed at the south end of the facility. Hammer weigh-ins will be staged at the Hammer cage beginning at 8:15 a.m.

WARM-UP AREA
Warm ups should be conducted on the intramural field adjacent to the track & field facility. A separate entry gate near the clerk of the course will allow access between the warm-up area and the stadium. No warm-up will be permitted on the infield. 

EVENT CHECK-IN
All athletes in the running events must check in with the clerk of the course (located at the north end of the track), 30 minutes prior to their event. The athlete could be scratched if he/ she fails to check in. Field event competitors should check in at the event site 45 minutes prior to the event. Each athlete will be allowed four (4) attempts in each field event, excluding the high jump and pole vault.

LOCKER ROOMS
Locker room facilities are not available. 

ENTRY FEES
Entry fees are $20.00 per entered athlete per event , $20.00 per relay team per event , or a team fee of $250.00 per gender. No refunds for scratched entries. All fees are non-refundable. All checks or money orders should be made payable to: UC Regents. Entry Fees are to be paid prior to competition on the day of the meet. NOTE: UC Davis Track & Field is pleased to extend complimentary meet entry to all current UC Davis students with valid ID. Please have your student ID to present at packet pick-up on meet day.


PARKING
Parking is free in the parking garage next to the track.
