DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Davis track & field teams head to the final meet of the winter quarter, namely the two-day Hornet Invitational at Sacramento State. The Aggies will compete in Saturday's portion only, beginning with the 9:45 a.m. men's shot put.

UC Davis has two full meets plus a hep/dec event under its collective belt, with the Cal Opener on March 4 followed by last weekend's Aggie Open home meet. Senior Rianna Goins posted a massive PR of 54.84 in the women's 400 at the Aggie Open, earning her Big West Conference Female Track Athlete of the Week honors. She leads the Big West Conference in that event, while senior Jordon Rushing paces the league in the men's 1,500 at 3:54.12.

UC Davis also boasts the league frontrunner in both triple jumps: Drew Xandrine-Anderson went 15.39 (50-6) at Cal, while Emem Ibekwe won the women's version at the Aggie Open last week at 12.02m (39-5.25). Senior Basil Okoroike ranks just behind Xandrine-Anderson with his wind-legal 15.26m (50-0.75). That moved him up one place into fifth on the school's all-time top 10 list.
