DAVIS, Calif. - The inaugural UC Davis Gunrock Throws Classic will be held on Sunday, June 2 at Woody Wilson Track with competitive opportunities in the hammer throw, discus, shot put and javelin available.
The meet is sanctioned by the USATF and will have signups and registration prior to Sunday's competition. The entry fee is just $20 and allows competitors to enter as many of the events as they would like. Weigh-ins will take place at the track before the start of the event.
The hammer is scheduled for 11 a.m., discus will follow at approximately 1 p.m. and the shot put will start around 3. If there are enough competitors for the javelin, it will begin following the conclusion of the shot put.
All entrants are guaranteed six throws per event for the highly competitive meet.
