Madden and Anderson were the first runners on their respective squads to cross the line for the Aggies
The UC Davis men's and women's squads travel to Washington to race for a chance to qualify to the NCAA Championships
Madden finished in first place in the 8K to help his team get fourth place, while Anderson places fifth in the 6K to help her team get fifth place
Ceja placed 24th overall, while Anderson placed in 54th
The women's squad and some of the men's squad travels to Penn State, while other members of the men's squad remain in state
2017: Participated in all six meets this season… Opened up her season with a 16:18 4K time at the Aggie Open… Her regular-season best 6K time was 22:46.3, received at the Capitol Cross Challenge… Was the fourth Aggie to cross the line at the Big West Conference Championships, finishing in 38th place with a personal-best 6K time of 22:14.4, 32 seconds faster than her regular season-best time… At the NCAA West Regionals, she finished the 6K with a time of 22:29.3.
ALBANY HS’17: Did cross country all four years… Was awarded with the Most Inspirational award both her freshman and senior year, as well as awarded with the Most Improved award her junior year… Added track and field to her senior year, and qualified as a finalist and set a PR for the 800m run (2:20.49) at the 2017 NCS Meet of Champions.
PERSONAL: Born in Berkeley, Calif… Parents are Karen and Edward… Has a younger sister Emma (14)… Her intended major is Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology, and plans to pursue a career in wildlife conservation… Her sports hero is Katherine Switzer, and her non-sports hero is Jane Goodall… Other than her sport, her favorite hobbies are hiking, backpacking, and photography.
