Posted a pair of top-20 finishes at the Aggie Open on Aug. 30, finishing 11th (14:39), and the Big West Conference Championships on Nov. 2, finishing 19th (23:04.7)... Posted her best 6K time at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational on Oct. 19, crossing the line in a time of 21:49 (201st)... Also finished 51st at the Inter-Regional Jamboree in Sacramento, finishing in a time of 17:52 over the 5K course... Selected to the Big West Conference All-Academic team.
2012: Ran in six races for the Aggies in her first season with the squad...Finished a season-best 23rd in her first career race, with a time of 15:07 at the Aggie Open (4K)...Best 6K time of the year came at the Bronco Inviational, when she finished 46th with a 18:03.3...Crossed the finish line in 22:31.8 at the Big West Championships (6K), good for 56th place...Also raced at the Hornet Jamboree (5K), Stanford Invite (6K), and Doc Adams Open (6K).
SIMI VALLEY HS '12: Two-time All-Marmonte League and All-Ventura County first-team selection... Selected as Ventura County Senior Runner of the Year after finished second overall at the Marmonte League Cross Country Finals, clocking in at 17:44.08... Helped lead Simi Valley HS to the CIF-Southern Section Div. II Cross Country championship, placing 17th individually with a time of 17:50, and a fourth-place finish at the state championship meet... Competed at prestigious Nike Cross Country Nationals in December... Advanced to the CIF-Southern Section Prelims in the 1,600-meter as a senior... Posted a PR of 5:00.98 in the event during her junior year, placing sixth at the section finals... Also has career-best of 10:56.98 in 3,200 from section prelims in 2011... Named Simi Valley HS Female Athlete of the Year.
PERSONAL: Parents are Eric and Marjorie Barr... Has one brother, Chris... Majoring in exercise biology... Says that she didn't begin competing on varsity cross country until her junior year of high school... Hopes to someday compete in a triathlon... Event in history she would like to see is Billy Mills winning the gold medal in the 10,000 at the 1964 Olympic Games.
