Competed in his third California CIF Cross Country State Championship final, clocking in at 15:42 to finish 17th in the 5K race... Was sixth among Div. III competitors (15:54.00) at Mt. SAC last fall.... Also competed in track and field, earning a spot in the CIF-Southern Section Divisional Finals where he posted a career-best time of 9:18.73 in the 3,200-meter run... The time ranked 54th in the state... Won the 3,200 at the Century League finals in a time of 9:32.41 while placing second in the 1,600 with a time of 4:20.12... Held a position on the Principal's Honor Roll all four years at Esperanza HS and was twice named a Distinguished Scholar. PERSONAL: Parents are Manoj and Ahuti Dholakia... Has one younger sibling, Sapna... Played baseball for 13 years before turning to cross country... Majoring in biological sciences... Lists his greatest personal accomplishment as qualifying for the state championship as an individual in 2011. |
