UC Davis men and women look to improve on third-place finishes at last year's meet

2013: ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE... Competed in four races, including a pair of top-15 finishes... earned all-conference honors with a second-place individual finish at the Big West Conference Championships, covering the 6K San Luis Obispo course in a time of 21:49.5 to help the Aggies to a second-place team finish... Also finished 12th overall at the Inter-Regional Jamboree in Sacramento, finishing the 5K course in a time of 17:11... One of seven Aggies to compete at the NCAA West Regionals on that same course in Sacramento, finishing 41st with a time of 20:35... Also ran at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, the third Aggie across the line in a time of 21:09.
2012: ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE... Ran in five races for the Aggies, finishing in the team's top-5 each time...Helped the Aggies to a second place showing at the Big West Championships (6K) by finishing fifth with a season-best time of 20:24.6...Came in 33rd overall with a 20:36 at the NCAA West Regionals (6K)...Checked in sixth overall at the season-opening Aggie Open (4K), with a time of 14:22...Came in 14th with an 18:03 at the Pac-12 Preview (5K)...Also ran at the NCAA Pre-Nationals (6K), finishing 68th with a time of 21:15.9.
2011: Quickly emerged as one of UC Davis' top runners in her first year, finishing 13th overall and fourth among Aggie runners at Big West Championships (10/29) with a time of 21:13.8, pacing UC Davis to a conference title... Placed 69th at NCAA West Regionals (11/12) with a time of 21:48... Only top-10 finish came at Hornet Jamboree (9/10), coming it at 17:57.
EXETER UNION HS `11: Selected as team's Athlete of the Year three straight years and was cross country team captain all four years of her prep career... Advanced to state meet every year, finishing fifth overall in 2010... Helped lead team to three consecutive Central Sequoia League titles... Also ran track and field and served as team captain for four years while earning three straight Athlete of the Year honors... Two-time league champion in the 800, advancing to the state finals in 2009 and 2011.
PERSONAL: Born in Visalia, Calif.... Parents are Charles and Lesley Fry... Oldest of three daughters, including Alexandra Marie and Mattie Jane... Has a love for entomology - the study of insects... Hopes to someday have a career as a professional runner or a novelist.
