Women Second, Men Fourth at Big West Championships

Sarah Sumpter and Alycia Cridebring finish second and third, respectively

2011 Finished 49th in the Big West Championships (10/29) with a time of 25:44.9... Participated in the NCAA West Regionals (11/12) finishing fourth among UC Davis participants.

DAVIS HS `11: Concluded outstanding high school campaign with a 22nd-place finish at CIF State Cross Country Championship after claiming Sac-Joaquin Section title... Three-time All-Delta Valley Conference selection... Advanced to state meet as a junior in 2010, finishing 12th overall, and placed second at Sac-Joaquin Section meet... Davis HS won CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Div. I title all four years of his prep career and was fourth in 2009 at the state championship meet... Came in eighth at 2008 Sac-Joaquin Section meet... Set school records in the 1600 and 3200 as a senior, winning the CIF title in both events and placing third overall in the 3200 at the CIF state meet... Twice selected as an all-conference honoree... Helped lead Davis HS to CIF Sac-Joaquin Section team title in 2010 after second-place finishes in both 2008 and 2009.

PERSONAL: Parents are Lance and Kerry Halsted... Has two younger siblings, Tara and Torin... Hails from a long line of UC Davis graduates... Mother Kerry and aunts Kathy Guinn and Kristina Neill swam for UC Davis, winning several All-American accolades throughout the 1980s... Majoring in biomedical engineering.
