Coming off third-place finishes at conference meet, UC Davis heads to Washington in search of trip to Nationals
Duo sets collegiate bests to lead the Aggies at Doc Adams Open
Races begin at 10 a.m. at Putah Creek Reserve Course in Davis
2014: Competed in four of the Aggies' eight meets... Posted a pair of top-25 finishes, crossing the line in a time of 20:13 to finish 21st at the Aggie Open, and finishing 18th at the Doc Adams Open with a time of 26:08... Posted his best 8K time of 25:43.6 at the Santa Clara Invitational... Completed the WCC Preview course in a time of 26:37.5 to finish 51st.
2013: Competed in just three meets in his first season as an Aggie, finishing among the top 50 twice... Finished 20th in the season-opening Aggie Open with a time of 19:46 over the 6K course... In the 8K Doc Adams Open later in the season, finished 45th with a time of 26:12 -- his fastest 8K time of the year... Also competed at the Stanford Invitational, completing the 8K course in a time of 27:27 (140th).
TRABUCO HILLS HS '13: Placed 8th in 3,200 at Southern Section Div. I meet as a senior... Voted Most Improved in cross country, Best Distance Athlete in track during final year... Placed 59th at CIF state cross country championship as a junior... Track PRs: 4:20.74 in 1,600, 9:15.72 in 3,200, both in 2013.
PERSONAL: Born in Boston, Mass.... Has not declared a major... Parents are Roy Dorman & Irene Hwang-Dorman... Proudest personal accomplishment was his team's state cross country title (2011)... Chose to attend UC Davis because of its "nature vibe" and excellent environment sciences program.
