III selection as a junior and a senior... Helped team to three consecutive conference titles as well as Brea Olinda's first-ever CIF-Southern Section championship in 2010, finishing seventh overall... Advanced to CIF state championship in both 2010 and 2011, finishing ninth and 15th, respectively... Hit a personal-best mark of 4:17 in the 1600 to place fifth at the Orange County Championships... Turned in a time of 1:54 in the 800-meter race at the CIF-Southern Section finals to finish third... Selected as Brea Olinda HS Scholar-Athlete of the Year and graduated as class salutatorian. PERSONAL: Parents are Thomas Nguyen and Elizabeth Le... Has one brother Justin who attends UCSD and a younger sister, Kaylee... Majoring in mechanical engineering... Enjoys singing and playing guitar which he says not many people know about him... Hopes to someday run a marathon. |
