UC Davis men and women look to improve on third-place finishes at last year's meet

2016: Competed in six of the team's eight meets on the year... Helped the Aggies to a second-place team finish at the Big West Conference Championships, finishing 14th with a time of 22:27.5... Posted a season-best 6K time of 21:49.1 at the NCAA West Regionals in Sacramento to close out the year... Opened with a 4K time of 14:55 at the Aggie Open to finish 14th, and posted a top-20 finish at the Bill Dellinger Invitational two weeks later with a 5K time of 18:12 in Oregon... Was the second Aggie across the line at the NCAA Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind., in a time of 22:31.2 to finish 62nd... Broke the 22-minute barrier for the first time by finishing 61st at the Capital Cross Challenge in a time of 21:59.6.

2015: Competed in six meets for the Aggies, including representing UC Davis at the Big West Conference Championships and the NCAA West Regionals... Posted a season-best 6K finish at the league championships, crossing in 18th place with a time of 21:25.75... Was the fourth Aggie across the line at the NCAA West Regionals with a time of 22:18.1... Helped UC Davis to a second-place team finish at the UC Riverside Invitational with a time of 22:00.2... Posted a time of 22:03.7 to help the Aggies to a fourth-place team finish at the NCAA Pre-Nationals in Louisville, Ky., and helped UC Davis place third at the Stanford Invitational with a time of 22:32.2.

2014: Raced in the first three meets of the season, finishing in the top 20 twice... Opened the year with a 10th-place finish at the Aggie Open, completing the 4K course in a time of 15:00... Followed that up two weeks later with a 14th-place finish at the WCC Preview, crossing the line in a time of 21:47.2... Also competed at the Stanford Invitational, finishing with a time of 23:14.

2013: Competed in three of the first four meets of the year for the Aggies... Posted her best finish of the year at the Aggie Open, finishing 10th in a time of 14:33 on the 4K course... Finished in a season-best 22:19.4 over the 6K course at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational... Also added a time of 24:05 at the Stanford Invitational.

2012: Did not race in her first season on campus.

EL MOLINO HS '12: Two-sport standout in cross country and track and field... Won the Sonoma County League title in a school record time of 17:30, then won the CIF-North Coast Section championship in a time of 17:43, the third fastest time in Div. IV... Finished seventh among Div. IV runners at California State Cross Country Championships during senior season... Three-time All-Sonoma County League first-team selection while also earning back-to-back All-Empire first team honors as a junior and senior... Also received All-North Coast Section first team accolades and was named to the All-Nor Cal second team as a senior... Set course records on two different occasions during her senior season while also setting a meet record once... Three-time All-Sonoma County League first team selection in track and field... State meet qualifier this past season in 1,600 after 5:02.41 PR in NCS Meet of Champions... Posted 11:00.65 PR in 3,200 at Meet of Champions... Won 1,600 and 3,200 titles at Sonoma County League championship as well as at NCS Redwood Empire Championships, setting a school record in both events... CIF state qualifier in 1,600... Recipient of NCS Scholar-Athlete award for both cross country and track and field.

PERSONAL: Parents are Tony and Dorothy Lane... Has one younger brother, Brady... Majoring in animal biology... Lists current Aggie assistant coach Kim Conley as her sports hero and would someday like to compete in the Olympics... Always wears a lucky ribbon and lucky watermelon socks on race day.
