2017: Did not compete.
2016: Competed in six of the team's seven meets on the season... Was the second Aggie across the line at the Big West Conference Championships, finishing 31st with an 8K time of 26:22.8... Competed at the NCAA West Regionals for the first time in his career, finishing with a time of 33:55.9 over the 10K course... Posted a career-best 8K time of 25:14.6 at the Capital Cross Challenge in Sacramento, and followed that performance up with a time of 25:18.4 at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational... Set a 6K best with a time of 18:43 in the Aggie Open to start the year... Posted his best 8K finish of the season at the Bill Dellinger Invitational in Oregon, finishing 16th with a time of 25:28 to help the Aggies finish third as a team.
2015: Competed four times as a sophomore, posting a season-best 18th-place finish at the season-opening Aggie Open to start the year... Completed the 6K course in a time of 20:17 -- his best time in two meets at that event during his career... Finished 53rd overall to help the Aggies to a seventh-place finish at the Capital Cross Challenge, running an 8K time of 27:06.1... Posted a collegiate-best 8K time with a 26:06.4 at the Santa Clara Invitational on Oct. 17... Finished 23rd at the Doc Adams Open on Nov. 7, running a time of 26:36.
2014: Raced in three meets during his freshman campaign, posting a season-best 25th place finish with a time of 20:55 over the 6K course at the Aggie Open to start the year... Also finished with a time of 27:00.3 at the 8K Santa Clara Invitational and a time of 27:32 to place 35th at the Doc Adams Open.
EASTLAKE HS '14: Three-year varsity letter winner for the Titans... Twice named to the All-Metropolitan League with a sixth-place finish in 2012 and a third-place finish in 2013 at the conference championships... Team MVP in 2012 and 2013... Helped his squad to the CIF Division I San Diego Section finals in 2011-13 and reached the finals as an individual as a senior in 2014... Metro League and team MVP for the track and field squad as a senior... League champion in the 800m and 1600m as well as the 4x400m relay as a senior en route to Mesa League Track Athlete of the Year honors and a team title... All-San Diego Section selection with his fourth-place finish in the 1600m as a senior... Boasts personal bests of 4:19.41 in the 1600m, 1:57.72 in the 800m, and 50.66 for the anchor leg of the 4x400m... His time in the 1600m placed him fifth in the state qualifying A-heat and fourth in Division I... Holds the No. 3 time in school history in the 1600m and the No. 2 time in the 800m... Earned scholar-athlete and Principal's Honor Roll laurels.
PERSONAL: Born in San Diego, Calif... Parents are Carlos and Marialuisa... Has an older sister, Lindsy... Majoring in biotechnology... AAU Pacific-Southwest Regional Champion in the 800m and 1600m in 2012 and 2013... USATF National Championship qualifier... Awarded the inaugural Star-News Meritorious Student-Athlete/Service Award for 2013-14 thanks to his community service efforts, which included a summer mission trip to Harmons, Jamaica, to help build houses and serve the people there... Lists his personal accomplishment as "becoming the first person in his family to attend a four-year university"... His career highlight was finishing fourth in the 1600m at the CIF Division I San Diego Section finals... Lists his sports hero as Louis Zamperini... The title of his autobiography would be, "Who Would've Imagined."
