2013: ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE... Granted a sixth year by the NCAA after missing both the 2008 and 2010 seasons... Posted three top-10 finishes on the season, including an eighth-place finish at the Big West Conference Championships in a time of 22:08.7 to help the Aggies to a second-place team finish... Was the second Aggie across at the NCAA West Regional, finishing 30th in a time of 20:21 as the Aggies finished seventh as a team... Ended up second at the 4K Aggie Open (13:51) and the 5K Inter-Regional Jamboree, breaking the 17-minute mark with a time of 16:36 to help UC Davis to a third-place team finish... Was the first Aggie across the line at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, completing the 6K course in a time of 20:27 for 34th place... Selected to the Big West Conference All-Academic Team.

2012:USTFCCCA ALL-AMERICA SECOND TEAM in 10,000... BIG WEST CONFERENCE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE YEAR... Won HUBERT HEITMAN AWARD as UC Davis' outstanding female athlete... Won conference titles in both 5,000 (16:35.07) and 10,000 (34:34.03)... Fastest 10K was 33:19.77 at Stanford, crushing Patti Gray's 29-year-old school record of 33:42.33... Placed 12th at West Prelims (34:24.87), advancing to national meet (15th, 33:49.57)... Broke 17-minute barrier in 5K three times, first with 16:33.91 at Hornet Invite then with season-best 16:26.74 at Mt. SAC... Ranks 3rd in school outdoor history... Posted 3K best of 9:33.40 during Causeway Classic dual, 4th all-time at UC Davis... Selected as school's representative for Big West Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 2012... Big West Conference All-Academic.

2011:Finished second overall at Big West Championships (10/29) with a time of 20:33.7, six seconds off the lead, to pace the Aggies to their first-ever conference championship... Aggies' top finisher in all six races she participated in, placing first at Aggie Open (9/2) with a time of 13:54... Placed 28th overall at NCAA West Regional (11/12) with a time of 20:58, leading UC Davis to an eighth-place finish... Selected to fall Big West Conference All-Academic Team.

2010: Did not compete.

2009: BIG WEST CONFERENCE WOMEN'S ATHLETE OF THE YEAR... BIG WEST CONFERENCE CHAMPION, crossing in 20:34.0 - 1.4 seconds ahead of runner-up Kayleigh Tyerman of Cal Poly... Became UC Davis cross country's first conference champion in the Big West era... Aggies' top finisher at Stanford Invitational (17th overall), ISU Pre-Nationals (34th) and NCAA West Regional (22nd)... Placed 3rd overall behind teammate Abbey Gallaher for collegiate debut at Hornet Jamboree.

AS A FRESHMAN (2008): Redshirted.

TRACK & FIELD: Did not compete in 2011... Led Aggies in 10,000 at Big West Conference Championships in both freshman and sophomore seasons, placing 4th (36:35.03) and 3rd (34:28.84) in those respective years... Mark in 10K ranks 3rd in school history, while 5K time of 16:52.85 moves her into 8th... Other personal bests: 4:41.53 in 1,500 and 9:49.10 in 3,000, both during 2010 season.

HEALDSBURG HS '08: Won the Division IV state championship at Stanford as a senior with a meet-record time of 17:26... Won Sonoma County League and North Coast Section titles with meet-record times en route to the state title... Earned All-America status with a top 25 finish at the Foot Locker Nationals... Named Santa Rosa Press Democrat Student-Athlete of the year... Voted team MVP the past two years... Finished 10th in 3,200 at NCS Meet of Champions... Advanced to sectional by virtue of 5th-place showing at Redwood Empire area meet.

PERSONAL: Born in Healdsburg, Calif.... Majoring in psychology... Parents are Brian & Shawn Sumpter... Brother Joshua also attends UC Davis... Among the events in history she would have liked to have witnessed: the first woman runner in the Olympic Games... Claims to be addicted to crossword puzzles and broccoli.
