Cross country starts 2017 season at home

UC Davis hosts annual Aggie Open on Saturday to kick-off 2017 campaign

LAS LOMAS HS’16: Did cross country all four years and added track into the mix beginning of his sophomore year… Ran between the two and three mile range, as well as the 5000m entering his senior cross country season… Set his three mile PR (15:20.0) that placed him in third at the 2015 CIF North Coast Section Championships… Set his 5000m PR (15:56.0) at the 41st Stanford Cross Country Invitational junior year… In track, he ran the 800m, 1600m, one mile, and 3200m senior year… Was the school record holder in the 1600m and 3200m during his time on the team… Set his 800m PR (2:08.07) junior year… Got his PRs in the other runs senior year:1600m (4:18.29), one mile (4:26.83), and 3200m (9:22.68).

PERSONAL: Born in Walnut Creek, Calif… Majoring in Animal Biology, and wants to pursue a career in veterinary medicine… Parents are Nancy and Harry… Has an older sister Whitney, a SDSU alumna… Says his proudest accomplishment and sports highlight was holding the school records in the 1600m and 3200m for track and field… If he could play another sport at Davis, it would be basketball… The top three things on his bucket list is to travel to Finland to see the northern lights, compete in an ironman, and go to the Olympics.
