2011: Ran in four races for UC Davis in 2011, including the Big West Championships (10/29), where she finished 44th overall with a time of 22:22.4, helping the Aggies to their first-ever conference championship... Came in 12th at Aggie Open (9/2) with a time of 14:34... Finished second among UC Davis runners at the Bronco Invite (10/15) with a time of 18:16.4, good for 65th overall... Selected to fall Big West Conference All-Academic Team.

TRACK AND FIELD: Competed mainly in 800 in 2011, finishing seventh overall in Big West Conference finals with a time of 2:14.98... Turned in team-best time at Mondo Mid-Major, finishing 5th in a time of 2:11.42 (4/9)... Also competed in the 400 and 1,500... Enjoyed breakout season in 2010, placed 2nd in 800 at Big West Conference Championship with PR of 2:08.08, 2nd in school history behind Rose Criss (2:07.91 in 2001)... Qualified for NCAA West Regional (33rd, 2:10.53)... Member of 2nd-place 4x400 squad at conference (3:42.58), good for 3rd in UC Davis history... Ran at both indoor meets, going 2:17.08 at UW Invite... Earned Big West Conference All-Academic honors... Competed primarily in 400 in 2009, posting season-best 58.48 in Big West Conference prelim heat (15th overall).

UKIAH HS `08: Won 200 title (25.93) and finished 4th in 100 (12.95) at Redwood Empire area meet, qualifying for North Coast Section championships in each... Captured titles in both events at North Bay League meet... Finished 2nd in 400 (1:00.69) at Redwood Empire championship as a junior.

PERSONAL: Born in Ukiah, Calif.... Majoring in international relations... Parents are Scott Wallace and Lisa Cortina... Hopes to one day visit Africa and the Middle East.
