UC Davis alumna and volunteer coach Kim Conley, whose participation in the last summer's Olympic Games in London provided a highlight moment for the campus, will race on Sunday in the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Poland.

Trevor Halsted of the cross country and track and field teams, and volleyball player Allison Whitson were named UC Davis' Big West Scholar-Athletes of the Year and were honored this week in Anaheim.
Senior Sarah Sumpter represented UC Davis on the 2012 Division I Women's Cross Country All-Academic squad as announced by the U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Monday. Additionally, both Aggie men's and women's programs won Scholar Team awards.
Kim Conley deeply appreciates the Sacramento Running Association's support in realizing her Olympic dream. Financial backing from the SRA helped Conley focus more on training as she prepared for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials in Eugene, Ore. She's been named SRA's Athlete of the Year.

After earning second place in the fall standings in the race for the 2012-13 Big West Commissioner's Cup, UC Davis student-athletes showed prowess in the classroom as well with 16 Aggies honored on the conference's fall All-Academic Team, it's been announced.
