CSUN clips UC Davis in extra frames, 2-1

The Aggies and the Matadors are set to conclude the weekend series with a 1 p.m. first pitch on Sunday (May 13).

2017: Appeared in 50 of the team's 51 games, making 46 starts... Led the outfield with six assists and no errors... Hit .262 on the season with a team-high 14 doubles, two home runs, and driving in 17... Scored 26 runs on the year, which ranked fifth on the team... Also walked 17 times to pace the squad, and was hit by a pitch 12 times, which stood second on the team... His 11 stolen bases (in 14 attempts) led the team... Tied a career high with four hits at Creighton on March 26... Drove in a career-high three runs twice against the Blue Jays and, again, against Grand Canyon (May 19)... Finished with nine multi-hit games on the season, including eight two-hit games to go along with his four-hit performance.

2016: Appeared in 35 games, making 29 starts... Slugged four doubles, a pair of home runs, and drove in 12 runs while scoring 21 runs... Finished second on the team with nine stolen bases (in 13 attempts)... Finished with a season-best four hits twice against Santa Clara (Feb. 25) and South Dakota State (March 9)... Put together a season-best nine-game hitting streak in May, batting 9-for-33 (.273) over that stretch with seven runs scored and four RBI... Scored three runs in the series finale against Pacific on May 1... Stole three bases at Sacramento State on May 10... Slugged his first career home run against Saint Joseph's on Feb. 26 and added a second against nationally ranked Michigan on March 3.

2015: Appeared in 32 games, making 21 starts at third base and designated hitter... Hit .22 on the season with nine runs scored, a double, and 10 RBI... Walked four times and was hit by a pitch seven times... Tied for second on the team with three sacrifice flies, and tied for third with six sacrifice hits... Finished 5-for-9 in stolen bases... Collected his first career hit and drove in a run to go with a pair of steals against Santa Clara on Feb. 17... Made his first career start on Feb. 21 against Gonzaga, finishing 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBI... Also drove in a pair of runs in game two at Seattle on March 7... Finished 2-for-4 in a win at San Francisco on March 24... Scored a pair of runs twice against UC Riverside (March 27) and Saint Mary's (March 31).

2014: Redshirted the season.

MENLO-ATHERTON HS '13: Spent his final three prep seasons playing for the Bears, earning first-team All-Peninsula Athletic League honors as a junior and second-team laurels as a senior... Hit .383 with 27 runs scored and 27 RBIs as a junior and followed that up with a .351 average with a .479 on-base percentage and nine doubles as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born in Palo Alto, Calif... Parents are Daniel and Terry Aguiar... has a younger sister, Shannon, and a younger brother, Ben... His father is a graduate of UC Davis (Class of 1982).
