Pluschkell, Anderson lead Aggies past Lobos, 13-8

Senior Brad Pluschkell notched a career-high five RBI, while junior Ryan Anderson finished 4-for-6 with two doubles to help UC Davis to a 13-8 win over New Mexico in Friday's opener at Santa Ana Star Field.

ARMIJO HS ’17: A four-year honor roll member, Erwin maintained a 4.4 GPA throughout the course of his high school career… Named “Most Valuable Player” of his JV squad during his sophomore year and slugged a .380 average at the plate… Named “Pitcher of the Year” during his junior season, posting a 6-1 overall record… Selected to the All-Monticello Empire League first team and voted varsity team MVP during his senior season, boasting a .301 average at the plate.

PERSONAL: Born in Overland Park, Kansas… Managereial economics major… Parents are Michael and Kathleen Erwin… has a younger brother, Brendan, who attends Saint Mary’s, a younger brother Nick, and an older sister, Erin, who recently graduated from Sacramento State… His father played baseball at Springfield College… Lists Derek Jeter as his sports hero.
