2003: ALL-CCAA FIRST TEAM... Started all 51 games played... Led team in home runs (11), RBI (47), on-base average (.442), slugging (.576) and OPS (1.018)... Also shared team lead with 44 runs... Hit by pitch 21 times, a school record... Overcame slow start: batted 6-for-41 (.146) through 3/11, 50-for-136 (.368) after... COSUMNES RIVER COLLEGE: Played one season of baseball under coach Tony Bloomfield... Team advanced to state junior college regionals, posting a 36-19 record.

DAVIS HS '01: Helped team to Sac-Joaquin Section title as a junior, compiling a 30-5 record... Also a standout in football (quarterback) and basketball (post).

PERSONAL: Born Sept. 3, 1981 in Newport Beach, Calif.... Communication major... Parents are Richard Butterworth and Melinda Waring... Lists his mother as his non-sports hero... Older brother, Dirk Fisher, played baseball at UC Riverside... Would change his sport by "making it more like Wiffle Ball"... Dream vacation is to visit Wimbledon... Hopes for career in journalism.
