AS A SOPHOMORE (2012): Made nine starts as a pitcher and 14 appearances as a first baseman... Went 3-4 on the mound with a 5.82 earned run average, giving up 25 earned runs on 34 hits... Struck out 17 batters, including five against Hawai'i on Apr. 1 and May 14... Had a career day on the mound at San Francisco on Apr. 24, taking a no hitter into the seventh inning... Pitched 6.2 innings against the Dons, giving up just two runs on two hits while striking out three batters... Finished with a .208 batting average... Scored twice in a 1-for-3 performance against Creighton on Mar. 4.
