2009: Made 10 relief appearances... Finished with 10.43 ERA in 14.2 innings... Best stint was 2.0 scoreless vs. San Francisco, allowing no hits with four strikeouts (2/24)... Also served as a pinch runner in three games, scoring a run vs. Santa Clara (5/12).

COSUMNES RIVER COLLEGE: Selected to All-Big 8 first team (utility) in 2008... Tied for conference lead with 6 saves... Led team with .331 batting (44-for-133) with 9 doubles, 2 tripes and 23 RBIs... Finished 3-4 with 3.40 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 55.2 innings pitched... Helped team upset No. 1 Fresno City College in playoffs to advance to state super regional... Earned team MVP in American Legion ball (Yolo Post 77s), batting .385 to go with 7-1, 1.36 ERA pitching numbers.

DAVIS HS '06: Named Monticello Empire League Player of the Year as a senior... Led Blue Devils to back-to-back MEL titles... Named to Sacramento Bee All-Metro squad in 2006, batting .408 with 30 RBIs and 14 stolen bases.

PERSONAL: Born in Woodland, Calif.... Majoring in economics, with career plans of becoming a financial analyst... Parents are Mark & Jane Heinig... Jane, who earned her Ph.D. at UC Davis, is an administrator with the Department of Nutrition... Older sister, Adrienne, graduated from UC Davis in 2006.
