A veteran of the UC Davis coaching staff, Assistant Coach Brett Lindgren returns for his seventh season in the Aggies' dugout during the 2017-18 season, tasked with working with the infielders and team offense while also assisting in the program's recruiting efforts.

Formerly a volunteer assistant at Big West Conference rival Cal State Fullerton and Santa Clara, Lindgren served in a similar capacity at UC Davis for the 2012 campaign before joining the coaching staff full-time prior to the 2013 season.

Originally from Santa Cruz, Calif., Lindgren spent five seasons with the Titans as a facilities manager and volunteer assistant from 2006-10, helping Cal State Fullerton win three Big West titles (2006, 2008, 2010) and make three trips to the College World Series (2006-07, 2009). He worked closely with the catchers and served as the team's first base coach.

Following his stint in Orange County, Lindgren then moved closer to his hometown and joined the Broncos' staff for the 2011 campaign, helping guide three players to All-West Coast Conference honors and Kyle DeMerritt to Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America laurels.

Lindgren's coaching resume also includes a stop as an assistant coach for the Rochester Honkers of the Northwoods League in 2007, eventually assuming the mantle of head coach after some mid-season staff departures for the second half of the season.

As a player, Lindgren was a prep All-Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League and All-Santa Cruz County honoree at Santa Cruz HS, helping lead the Cardinals to a league title. He then played two seasons (2002-03) at Fresno City College, earning All-Central Valley Conference second team honors and helping the Rams to a conference title as a sophomore, batting .360 with 30 RBI.

Lindgren finished out his academic and athletic career at East Carolina, earning a bachelor's degree in kinesiology in 2005. Helping the Pirates to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Conference USA crown and Super Regional berth as a junior in 2004.
